Agape San Diego

Our mission: We are committed to creating a Beloved Community that supports young adults.

Agape San Diego has spent nearly the last 60 years devoted to serving as an inclusive outreach organization for the campus of SDSU and young adults within the San Diego area. It is essential to our mission that we serve and support our community regardless of race, religion, or creed. Our place as a Lutheran-Episcopal campus ministry is to uplift our community, not proselytize; we are currently changing our name to Agape San Diego to reflect this. Agape House is a place to thrive in community, grow in consciousness, and engage in action to serve one another in love for personal and social transformation. We are committed to creating a beloved community and seek to provide hospitality, resources and support to San Diego State University students and staff. Our Agape community includes students from all different backgrounds and walks of life and we are strengthened by the rich diversity of perspectives, identities, cultures, abilities, and values around us. Through the community we have fostered, students have felt comfortable to speak out regarding their housing situations. Our work has created a safe space that empowered our community to find courage and learn the skills to advocate for themselves and others. We are currently working on a student center with a cafe, meeting space, and most importantly, 40 units of affordable housing to support and strengthen our student community. The completion of this project will be a direct result of community support. 

All of our programs are open and accessible to everyone in our community, and 100% of every dollar donated works to uplift and support our mission.
